A meat processing company in the United Kingdom approached IKE for a customized industrial beef drying solution with a total designed loading capacity of 3,000 kg per batch.
The customer needed more than standard drying equipment. Their requirements included low-temperature operation, flexible meat loading methods, easy-to-clean stainless steel construction and a chamber layout adapted to their production facility.
IKE supplied three customized EMB-JL1500D modular heat pump drying rooms, each designed to accommodate approximately 1,000 kg of beef per batch. All three rooms feature identical specifications and customized equipment, including:
Customer-specified 30°C low-temperature operation
Dual-use stainless steel trolleys for hanging rods and drying trays
Integrated bottom drip trays for collecting meat juices
Anti-slip stainless steel flooring
Manually controlled UV lamps
The project demonstrates how IKE combines low-temperature heat pump drying technology with practical equipment customization for industrial meat processing facilities.
IKE offers both pre-assembled AIO drying rooms and modular EMB drying rooms to suit different installation requirements.
The AIO series features an integrated, factory-assembled structure that does not require on-site chamber assembly.
In comparison, the EMB series uses a modular construction that is assembled at the customer's facility, providing greater flexibility in chamber dimensions, installation arrangements and internal equipment configurations.
For this UK project, the customer selected three EMB-JL1500D drying rooms customized to the available factory space and intended beef processing workflow.
All three drying rooms were manufactured with identical dimensions, trolley arrangements and auxiliary equipment configurations.
The installation photographs show the modular assembly process and the completed stainless steel drying rooms at the customer's production facility.
The customer specified an operating temperature of 30°C for their beef drying process.
IKE configured the EMB-JL1500D drying rooms to meet this particular requirement.
The JL series is designed for applications requiring controlled low-temperature drying conditions. Its operating temperature range can be customized according to different materials and processing needs.
For this project, all three drying rooms were equipped with matching temperature configurations to accommodate the customer's intended production process.
The specified drying temperature forms part of the customer's overall meat processing procedure. Appropriate microbial control measures, process validation and finished-product safety verification must be addressed separately within the complete food production process.
One of the key customizations in this project is the HJ-10080BJ dual-use stainless steel meat drying trolley.
The customer required a loading system capable of accommodating different meat shapes and processing arrangements.
IKE provided specially configured trolleys that support both hanging rods and stainless steel mesh drying trays, allowing the customer to choose the appropriate loading method for different products.
For beef strips and similar meat products, the trolley can be equipped with stainless steel hanging rods.
This arrangement allows the meat to hang separately, leaving space around the strips for circulating air during drying.
For products better suited to horizontal placement, the same trolley design can accommodate stainless steel mesh trays.
This provides flexibility for handling sliced beef and smaller meat pieces without requiring a completely different trolley system.
Each customized trolley also features a stainless steel drip collection tray at the bottom.
During beef drying, juices released from the meat can be collected in the tray instead of dripping directly onto the drying room floor.
This practical feature helps keep the processing area cleaner, reduces liquid accumulation on the floor and simplifies routine cleaning.
The combination of hanging rods, mesh trays and bottom drip collection makes the customized trolley suitable for different industrial meat drying arrangements.

All three EMB-JL1500D drying rooms were fitted with customized anti-slip stainless steel flooring.
Although the drying trolleys include drip trays to collect meat juices, the floor may still become wet during routine washing, cleaning or occasional spills.
The textured stainless steel surface helps reduce the risk of slipping under wet conditions while allowing the floor to be washed and maintained as part of regular cleaning procedures.
Combined with the trolley drip collection system, this flooring design provides a practical solution for maintaining a cleaner and safer working environment.
To meet the customer's additional equipment requirements, IKE integrated manually controlled UV lamps into all three drying rooms.
The lamps can be operated according to the customer's established hygiene procedures.
UV disinfection effectiveness depends on lamp specifications, exposure conditions and appropriate safety precautions. The lamps are auxiliary equipment and do not replace validated microbial control procedures for meat products.
This configuration highlights the flexibility of IKE's modular drying rooms in accommodating customer-specific features.
After delivery to the United Kingdom, the three EMB-JL1500D modular drying rooms were assembled at the customer's facility.
Actual project photographs document the installation process, completed stainless steel chambers, customized trolley configurations, anti-slip flooring and integrated UV lamps.
Additional photographs show beef strips hanging inside the drying rooms during operation, providing a view of the equipment in the customer's production environment.
The installation illustrates how modular chamber construction, customized loading equipment and practical cleaning features can be integrated into one industrial meat drying project.
Different meat processing facilities have different requirements for batch capacity, installation space, loading methods and operating temperatures.
IKE provides both pre-assembled AIO drying rooms and customized EMB modular drying rooms for commercial and industrial food processing applications.
Depending on project requirements, available customizations may include drying room dimensions, trolley configurations, operating temperature ranges, drip collection systems, anti-slip flooring and auxiliary equipment.
