CAAS Recognizes IKE Group as a "National Key R&D Program Industrial Demonstration Enterprise"

A major step forward in advancing global agricultural drying technology and sustainable food process

On October 30, 2025, experts from the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences visited IKE Group and officially recognized it as a "National Key R&D Program Industrial Demonstration Enterprise." This honor highlights IKE's leadership in closed-loop heat pump drying technology, which has improved the efficiency and quality of agricultural product drying while supporting global sustainability.

On October 30, 2025, a delegation led by Dr. Bi Jinfeng, Chief Strategic Scientist at the Institute of Agro-Products Processing Science and Technology (IAPPST) under the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), visited the IKE Group headquarters for a technical exchange and inspection.

The delegation included Dr. Chen Qinqin and Dr. Lü Jian, accompanied by Professor Yang Liyi, a renowned expert in fruit and vegetable peeling and slicing from South China University of Technology.

During the visit, Dr. Bi Jinfeng presented IKE Group with the honorary plaque of "National Key R&D Program (Fruit Processing Upgrading and Industrialization) Industrial Demonstration Enterprise." This recognition reflects IKE's outstanding contribution to innovation in food drying technology, industrial transformation, and agricultural modernization in China.

Leading Innovation: Closed-Loop Heat Pump Drying Technology

In partnership with the Planning and Design Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture, IKE Group pioneered the Closed-Loop Dehumidification Heat Pump Drying Technology in 2013.

This breakthrough allows precise temperature and humidity control, maintaining stable operation independent of external weather conditions. It effectively solves the performance limitations of traditional air-source heat pumps in cold or humid environments, while reducing energy consumption by up to 70-90% compared with electric heating dryers. 

Furthermore, the technology retains volatile aromatic compounds and other nutritional components in dried products, ensuring both high efficiency and premium drying quality. It provides a powerful tool for cost reduction, quality enhancement, and green development in agricultural processing.

Since its launch, IKE's heat pump drying systems have grown from concept to large-scale application, achieving annual sales exceeding RMB 10 billion, with hundreds of thousands of units installed worldwide.
